Over the years Dad has been your taxi, bank, chef, doctor – your hero. Of course it can be hard to decide what you would like to do with Dad this weekend. Not to worry, we’ve got you covered. Below is a list of great activities and gift ideas for Dad this Father’s Day.

Movie Night

If your Dad is anything like mine, he would be a fan of the classics. This could mean John Wayne, Band of Brothers or perhaps more recent with the Marvel movies.

When we were all in lockdown, we had to get creative with what we could do at home during the big occasions. 2 years ago, we gave my Dad an at home wine tasting. None of us are in any way the perfect sommalier or know what we’re talking about when it comes to wine.

I just thought it would be a fun family activity to do together.

We picked up a few small sample bottles of various styles of red wine and paired them with crackers, a selection of cheese, salami and prosciutto. It was a great night.

Becoming a Gamer

The older generation may not be as quick when it comes to learning how to use the latest gadget or console. That doesn’t mean they can’t be taught. Imagine how much fun you could have by teaching Dad the ins and outs of playing the Xbox or PlayStation this weekend. You never know, in a few months, he could be your back up on Call of Duty or your sworn enemy on Halo with a higher score than you.
